Adding a Pen Name to Amazon Author Central | Second Pen Name on Amazon | Amazon KDP Pen Name

Whether you are self-publishing or going the traditional route, when the book comes out, you should ABSOLUTELY claim your author central profile on Amazon. This is where you will manage your presence on Amazon. Your author headshot and bio, make use of their interview section.
Also, readers who follow your Amazon profile are notified when you release a new book. Very helpful!

So for Author Central, I already had a profile for my M.K. Williams books. I wasn’t sure if I needed an entirely new account for my pen name Mary Kate Williams. So I sent an email.

I want to tell you this for two reasons:
I don’t know everything. I have to look it up myself and report it back to you.
Customer service gets a bad rep sometimes. I sent this inquiry and someone at Amazon Author Central Support responded within an hour. That’s super helpful. I’ll give credit where it is due.

And that’s it, folks. You can now follow either of my Amazon Author Profiles:
