This is a great opportunity for self-published authors. To be honest, I have been really slow to take advantage of it. I remember back years ago when IngramSpark had a direct sales option via Aer.io, which is now defunct. I had a whole video on it, but I removed it from my channel as soon as IngramSpark closed down this feature. So when they announced their direct links recently, I was skeptical to sign on and make all the links again. And add them to my website, again!

But, I finally had the time for this little admin project. If you have one or two books, this is probably a no-brainer, must-do. But I have over a dozen books. So I am happy to report that it took me two thirty-minute work sessions to make the links and then add them to my website. So if I can do this quickly, then you can doo!

Okay, now you have the links. What do you do with them?
Add them to your website.
Add them to your profile links.
Tell your audience about it. On social media. In your newsletter.

Here is the real benefit. I polled my newsletter recently and asked what they wanted. They said they wanted print discounts. How do I make that happen without making razor-thin or no revenue on each sale? Ooohh, custom IngramSpark direct sales links.

I had a chance to have my books featured in a blind date with a book subscription. How can I give them a good discount rate without losing money on this sale?

Another big benefit for me is that my Author Your Ambition workbook is a phone book. But I wanted it to be easy to use, it is full color. Most people get the PDF to be able to print at home as many times as they need. But for those who buy the physical copy, it is pricey. I make a dollar every time it is sold on a retailer’s website. I price it as low as I can because I know how expensive it is. Well, I can promote it directly to followers for a much lower direct rate. That is huge! Also, peep that link below…

So, are you going to sell your books directly through this method? What are some creative ways that you can promote this opportunity?
