Today’s video is for self-publishing authors because we are responsible for our covers.

I have talked about 100 Covers previously on this channel. I’ve worked with them before when helping clients. I love their philosophy of making beautiful covers at self-publishing prices. I’ve worked with Matt directly in the past when I had clients who needed a little extra hand-holding.

With 100Covers, you , or any author, can get just an eBook cover, just digital, print covers, print covers with your extra marketing assets. They have packages that fit what everyone needs.

They also say, if you have a series, reach out to get a quote. So I did.

And the price was more than reasonable. Looking at the print pack, which is a great deal, you can do the math. That’s a lot of money. The team worked with me to give me a great price. And what was even better, which I don’t think was intentional, but the very first design they sent back for Self-Publishing for the First-Time Author, I was like, “I love it, but i love it for book 3 in the series instead” so getting to work with the team on all the covers I knew they would look cohesive. They remembered from book to book some of the preferences I had for images to wrap around the spine onto the back.

Once the eBook cover design is set, they send over the audiobook cover and ask for the specifics for the print books. They know self-publishing. So you say “KDP and IngramSpark,” and they give you the exact files you need for those platforms. Right. They’re not guessing at this. They do this day-in-and-day-out.

One thing I really really really appreciated when filling out the information form, that they asked for the description, what categories you want to rank in, what books in that category you like, as far as the cover design. You can give specifics. For fiction, they ask for location, character descriptions. Right, they want to get it right the first time.

As we know, AI is everywhere. With KDP we HAVE to attest as to whether we have used AI or not. You can select, no AI to be used with the cover so you can then honestly click “no AI use” when you upload. Knowing that going in gave me even more confidence in this team.
They also offer formatting now. I used Atticus because I wanted to have control to edit the files down the road if more changes occur in Self-Pub. However, this team is professional, so if you want a one-stop solution, it’s easy. Cover and formatting can all be done here.
