A few tips for others starting out:
Have a plan before starting. Will you just do specific elements, or will you do the whole cover?
What colors will you need? A multipack will get you started, but you may need more of a given color, and you want it to match.
In terms of the big packs, if each bin individually opens and closes, you’re good. My first pack was one big lid, so I moved them all into separate vials so I wouldn’t spill everywhere.
My mom did diamond dot painting, so she hooked me up with some tools. A little grabber that you dip in wax to pick up the rhinestones.
I do a line hah! of glue as little dots. And then I add the rhinestones. I would start with 5 and then, as you feel more confident, you can do more. Some tool sets are one rhinestone at a time. Some are five at a time.
I like the mini glues instead of the big tube. I think I have better control over how much I put out. So in this case, I think more little tubes are better than one big tube.
I also have a little tray to pour them into, a brush to help turn them over, and a little funnel to pour them back in.
I start with the title, and then the elements. Then I do the background when everything else is done.
