When I set up the pre-order for my workbook I approved the print proof on IngramSpark. It looked amazing. Hit approve but I only say the option to approve, not approve and distribute. So I went and trying to click the globe icon to enable distribut and then realized I couldn’t. Panic set it. And if you are watching this video because you are in a panic, here is how to fix it.

So IngramSpark has a series on guidelines on books they won’t distribute. Summaries of other books, low-content books (journals, etc.), erotica, etc. So I realized the reason my book wasn’t enabled for distribution was the word Workbook in the title. So here is how we fixed this:

Got the automated bounce back immediately.

Didn’t hear anything else. Usually I get a message about, you’ll hear back in X many days. So on Dec 2 I reached out to see what the expected turn around time would be. I got a message back within 30 minutes that the book had been reviewed and I could enable for distribution.

Oh okay, thanks for letting me know.

So I went in to try and enable distribution and I got a message that I couldn’t. But this time it said because i didn’t have any price set. (If you see the pre-order video you’ll see I added a price.) So it seems when it was flagged for no distribution the price was stripped out. So I went and input my price again and I was able to get it enabled for distribution. YAY!

So easily back on track, after submitting the ticket.
