Wow! I would LOVE Nailbiters and Architects to be acquired and traditionally published and get a big second life. Especially now that dystopia is so hot.

But let’s check a few things:
The email is from a Gmail account. Not at Grand Central, not at Hachette. RED FLAG 1
While the signature is spelled correctly, the email address isn’t. RED FLAG 2

So I KNOW this isn’t real. I know the person on the other end is not who they are presenting themselves as. Also, a REAL editor could be trawling Amazon best seller lists for indie books that are selling well, and they might want to acquire them to capitalize. If they did, they would email from their official work email. They would use the official channels I have listed to contact my agent.
