If you are planning to self-publish your book you’ve already done a ton of work and the costs are starting to tally up. You want your book to look amazing and set it up for success, but you don’t have a couple grand to spend on it either. Here are the top five inexpensive options for getting a great book cover:
100Covers – as the name implies, they started out charging $100 for an eBook cover. Now you can get print and audiobook covers too all at self-publishing prices.
FormattedBooks – I love this team and they’ve done great work for me and my clients formatting our books to look amazing in print and eBook. They are now offering covers too so you can get everything done all in one place. I’ll have a review video of my experience with their cover soon, but in the meantime, check them out.

Fiverr – I’ve seen some great book covers come from artists who are working through Fiverr. You set the search parameters based on your budget, the designer’s rating on Fiverr, etc. You’ll find some higher-end costs on there too, but some inexpensive ones as well.

Canva – Good ole Canva. They have a ton of templates to use and with their premium version, you can get more templates and access to photos and graphics. Be sure to modify the template enough so it doesn’t look like another book that’s already out there.

BookBrush – This is a toll designed by an author. There is a free version, but the features in the premium version are well worth it as you can also create book promos, trailers, and so much more. Use code MK15 for 15% off your membership.
