As a self-pubishing author there are a million little details to manage and occasionally update. Whether you just didn’t know what to do when you uploaded to trying something new to revitalize your backlist, there are many reasons an author would need to upload their metadata. In KDP you have to go back in through the same form you used when you uploaded, so the way to update information is familiar. Not so with IngramSpark. Today I’ll walk you through how you can update the following elements in IngramSpark:

-Series Information
-Editorial Reviews
-Description
-Keywords

Okay, that’s how you update things. In general. IngramSpark pushes metadata updates weekly. In the past when I’ve made edits and they didn’t populate immediately on the retailers, I was told that it
#1 Takes time. IngramSpark will send the data but then it is on the retailers as to when they apply it
#2 They generally recommend only making edits once every 6 weeks. Otherwise, it creates a messy backlog
#3 Make sure you hit save!
